The BTM series gage is used to measure the axial strain in a bolt or fastener by insertion into a pre-drilled hole in the shank. The hole is cleansed, filled with adhesive and the gage inserted. Because of its position at the c.g. of the cross section, possible bending strains do not affect axial strain readings. Model BTM-6CTA has integrated temperature sensing. Basic lead wire length is 80mm. Factory attached integral lead wire in 2 or 3 wire arrangements and in lengths or 1, 3 or 5m are also available.
