These QF series gages use Cu-Ni and copper 3-wire integral lead wires to form a type T thermocouple for simultaneous measurement of strain and temperature. Two seperate data channels are needed, one set to read quarter bridge strain and the other type T thermocouples. Two of the lead wires must make contact with the binding posts of BOTH channels. This configuration operates on TML brand instruments, but may not on other brands. Consult your instrument's operations manual or the manufacturer for confirmation.
